To provide Christian resource materials to Filipinos in order that they may become disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ and materials for their spiritual growth.
Our Origin
The Ministry was seeded by Ken T. Ward whose personal life-verse is "I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task that the Lord Jesus has given me." Acts 20:24 NIV.
My defining moment was in January 1986 when I visited an orphanage in Cagayan. A twelve-year old Ifugao boy ran to me and grabbed my pants and begged me to take him home with me. I vowed then that I would dedicate my life for poor children in the Philippines, although not knowing in what capacity. A door opened in 2001 to send Bibles and Jesus Films to our family in Davao City for distribution. What We Believe We believe:
in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit; that salvation is only possible by His grace and His forgiveness of our sin. We must accept
this by surrendering our will to His; that God answers every prayer, even when we can't express our thanks and petitions; that God has a special purpose for each person's life, and He has given everyone gifts to serve
so that they may be the best in fulfilling this purpose; that God has abundantly provided for all mankind but man has not managed to share His
bounty with those in need; that God blesses those who devote their lives to serve Him and therefore others; and that God Who began a good work in Christians will go on developing their gift until the day
that Jesus Christ returns. Our Ministry Provides
a) Free Christian Resource Materials: Bibles, Jesus Films, books, Sunday School supplies
and children’s clothing individuals and groups. Christian being planted and agencies may
avail themselves of materials at our Know The Way Resource Centers in Buhangin and
Chaplaincy Office in Davao City Hall.
b) Christian Library: Christian books and cassette tapes, pamphlets, Sunday school supplies
etc through our Library in Buhangin. Our Library hours are Friday, Saturday and Mondays.
Only 15% of the world population has access to printed materials through illiteracy and
availability.
c) Christian Website: Resources to assist you to grow as a Christian and share your Christian
faith with others. For Whom
There is an estimated 1.6 million who live in Davao City. The most common national languages are Filipino, Visayan, and Cebuano. The primary resources are agricultural, bananas, copra, and durian. There is a large population of poor families who live on the street, "under cardboard", or in squatters huts. Schooling is by tuition; therefore only the "rich kids" get to school and obtain a graduation diploma. The predominant religion is Roman Catholic 97%, Muslims, Animists and Evangelical Christians (1.5%).
